Our Story

Our Story

Glove Mechanics was built on friendship, baseball, and a deep respect for the craft behind the game.

We’re Bryan and Steve, two long-time friends who have known each other for over 25 years. Our friendship started through our wives, who were high school friends, and over time it grew into a partnership grounded in shared values, hard work, and a lifelong connection to baseball.

Baseball has been part of our lives for as long as we can remember. We both played the game from a young age through college, and like most ballplayers, we took pride in our equipment. A glove wasn’t just gear, it was something you broke in over time, maintained with care, and trusted every time you stepped on the field.

That respect for the game carried into our time as coaches. Working with players, we often found ourselves repairing broken laces, tightening webs, and doing whatever it took to keep gloves game-ready. What started as helping out quickly became something we genuinely enjoyed,  and something we realized was missing in our area.

In 2023, we turned that realization into Glove Mechanics.

Our goal was simple: provide high-quality glove repair, relacing, and break-in services done the right way. No shortcuts. No rushed work. Every glove is treated as if it were our own, because we know the trust that comes with handing over a piece of equipment that means something to you.

Whether it’s restoring a well-worn glove with years of memories or getting a new glove shaped and game-ready, we approach every job with the same attention to detail and respect for the craft. To us, it’s not just about fixing a glove, it’s about extending its life and helping it perform the way it was meant to.

At our core, we’re a small business built by lifelong ballplayers who believe in doing things the right way. We take pride in our work, stand behind every service we offer, and value the trust our customers place in us.

When you send us your glove, you’re not sending it to a factory, you’re sending it to two people who understand the game, respect the craft, and care about getting it right.

Thanks for being part of our story.
