Do you work on both baseball and softball gloves?
Yes! We service baseball and softball gloves of all sizes and positions, including infield, outfield, first base mitts, catcher's mitts, and fastpitch gloves.
What glove brands do you work on?
We service virtually all major glove brands, including Rawlings, Wilson, Mizuno, Nokona, Marucci, 44 Pro, Rico, All-Star, SSK, Easton, Louisville Slugger, Akadema, and many others.
MAIL-IN SERVICE
How does your mail-in glove service work?
Simply purchase your desired glove service on our website. After checkout, you'll receive an email with detailed shipping instructions and a printable Glove Service Intake Form. Pack your glove securely, include the completed form, and ship it to us. Once your glove is serviced, we'll return it using the return shipping included with your purchase.
Who pays for shipping?
Customers are responsible for shipping their glove to Glove Mechanics. Return shipping is included with every glove service purchase.
Do I need to include anything with my glove?
Yes. Please include the completed Glove Service Intake Form that you'll receive after placing your order. This helps us quickly identify your glove and ensures we perform the requested services correctly.
How should I package my glove?
We recommend using a sturdy box or padded mailer to protect your glove during shipping. If possible, use a shipping service that provides tracking for added peace of mind.
How long does glove service take?
Most services are completed within 10–14 business days after we receive your glove. Turnaround times may vary depending on seasonal demand or the complexity of the service.
Will I know when my glove arrives?
Yes. We'll notify you once your glove has been received and checked into our workshop so you know it's safely in our hands.

Every glove is different. While we can't erase years of use, our goal is to restore your glove's appearance, improve its condition, and extend its usable life while preserving its character.
Why should I have my glove professionally cleaned and conditioned?
Over time, dirt, sweat, and moisture can dry out leather and shorten the life of your glove. Professional cleaning removes buildup while conditioning restores moisture and helps keep the leather soft, flexible, and durable.
When should I have my glove relaced?
If your glove has broken, stretched, or frayed laces. Or, if it no longer holds its shape a professional relace can restore its strength and performance.
Can I choose my lace color?
Absolutely! We offer a variety of lace colors, allowing you to restore the original look or create a custom appearance that reflects your personal style.
How do you break in a glove?
Our break-in process is designed to soften and shape the glove without damaging the leather. We avoid shortcuts like soaking or steaming. instead using techniques that preserve the glove while creating a game-ready feel.
Will my glove be game-ready when I get it back?
Our goal is to provide a glove that's significantly more comfortable and playable while still allowing you to continue breaking it in to match your personal preferences.
Can you replace broken laces instead of a complete relace?
Yes, contact us so we can provide you with a quote to replace the broken lace.
What if my glove needs additional repairs?
If we discover issues beyond the service you purchased, we'll contact you before performing any additional work.
